All Lightstep product variants have the following unique generic capabilities:

• High intensity LED lighting
• Low level mounting to all product designs, ensuring that visibility is not compromised in a smoke filled environment, and complimenting current signage which is placed at head height or above Automatic activation, either via fire/smoke alarm activation or strategically placed proximity/heat sensors or via light sensors if mains lighting fails
• Mains electricity operated, with battery back up built in, which allows for circa six hours of power in the event of mains failure
• Central control box (“Smart Box”) to enable intelligent way guidance in the form of directional and colour coded indication to usable exits in an emergency situation
• Pre-programmed integrity check with fire/smoke alarm system, with an audible alert if a fault is detected
• Fully tested and approved to relevant international fire safety standards
