Pathfinder a clear optical path for the safe evacuation of people
from a life threatening situation.
As well as providing systems for way guidance on stairwells, Pathfinder
identifies the nearest safe exit route and highlights the route path
by way of a directional arrow system.
Designed to incorporate LED’s within specially adapted floor tiles
or even carpet, the light pattern will change direction, not only
to provide assistance to the nearest exit but also to distribute
occupants according to their specific location.
Should the direction taken become regarded as unsafe then the central
control system will revaluate the route path and pinpoint the next
alternative safe exit. The series of green arrows will then change
to a red cross indicating to no longer proceed and the alternative
route path will then be highlighted by a pattern of green arrows.
Using the central control system, the lighting pattern will be activated
once a fire or smoke alarm has been triggered and it is also safeguarded
with 6 hours of battery supply should in the event of power failure
the mains electricity should be cut off.
